"The greatest healing therapy is friendship and love."

— Hubert H. Humphrey

It's been a long year. Finally, we are slowly and intentionally venturing out again into the world. We've missed seeing our friends and those we love. We've missed watching the delight of children as they enjoy their summer days.

We can learn a lot from kids, can't we? Their ability to go with the flow, fill the air with squeals and belly laughs, and make every day an adventure sometimes seems like a distant memory. But it doesn't need to. We can be resilient too! We can connect with our own inner joy and playfulness.

Nurturing the relationships we share with our friends, especially those who haven't see much (if at all) during the past year, is vital to our wellbeing. Not only do we experience a shift in our emotional or mental state, but we feel better too. A lot better! After all, isn't bringing joy and love into our lives and the lives of others what healing is all about?
